Gardening Shenanigans

So...I have a green thumb, but I'm terribly lazy about it. For instance, I've had a raised bed and grand plans for several weeks now, but we only got it set up today. I still haven't planted anything in it, we are going tomorrow to get several bags of shit to mix in with the sandy topsoil we bought. I hope I'm not starting this thing too late, I really want tasty veggies this summer. I may be lazy about planting things, but I'm lazier about going to the store. I like the idea of walking 8 feet and getting some tomatoes.

I also planted a rose bush and it seems to be doing pretty well. I have some pretty double tulips that are nearing the end of their blooming. I need to get my lilies and elephant ears in the ground. So much to do, and I am so, so lazy.

Anyway, I'll keep you, the blogging world updated with the progress (or lack thereof) regarding my lil 18 sq ft garden. Hopefully good things will happen with it. In the meantime, I'm making wishlists on all the expensive gardening supply sites in case anybody wants to buy me a 70 dollar purple wheelbarrow.
